Lakeside Way (26 miles circular)
This multi user track is suitable for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.The shore line stretches for 26 miles with good parking at The Dam, Bullcrag and Bakethin Weir. Wark Forest Riding Routes
The trails are not signed but public rights of way are marked with signposts and coloured discs.
Pundershaw and Whitchester Moor 18km/11miles
Starting in Pundershaw on the eastern edge of Wark Forest, this circular ride covers mixed terrain from forest track to open moor with barely any tarmac road. Off-road sections may be rough and wet - please dismount where neccessary and be prepared for the occasional ford and ditch.
Pundershaw, Linacres and Longlee 18km/11 miles
Starting in pundershaw on the eastern egde of Wark Forest, this ride follows country lanes, forest tracks and farmland with magnificent views. There is great off-road riding with a couple of good canters. Some sections may be muddy after rainfall- please take car and dismonut if neccessary. Be prepared for occasional fords and ditches.
