Wark Motorbike Enduro 6/7th August

Harvesting site at Chisholm Moss is due to start this March.  The bridleway follows the road along the boundry of this site.  The bridleway remains open.  Please be vigilant and adhere to the signage on the approach to the site.

1700 runnners expected to participate in the Kielder Marathon this year.  The Lakeside way will be closed to all other users and the majority of parking in Kielder Water and Forest Park will be taken up with the Marathon.

Sip Events will run The Kielder 100. This event will cover Lewisburn, Deadwater, Broomylinn. 750 cyclist are expected.

Bridleway along MOD road to East and old forest road to North.  This a low usage route, so there will be no closure.  A Banksman will be in place when felling the strip adjacent to the bridleway.

Proceed with Caution and obey all signage.

The Border Counties Car rally will visit Kielder Forest on the 20th March. The areas used will be Bewshaugh near Kielder, Popes Hill near Falstone and Redesdale.

For Information there is a proposed harvesting site about to go live for Cisholms Moss in Wark Forest. The Bridleway will not be closed but there will be warning signs in place and machenery moving around.

Ash Park at Kershope Forest will be used on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th for a Husky Rig Race.

For Information - there will be a Mountain bike event  this Saturday 5th September using Lewisburn, Deadwater, Broomylinn sections of the forest.

There will be road repair works carried out on the forest road between the Forks and Akenshaw Junction (up river from Lewisburn). While the Road will remain open to walkers, cyclists and horse riders, users are advised to follow any on site signage and instructions for their own safety.
